Measure the fit

Set the width of your furniture, then compare the available canvas sizes. The diagram uses the same scale for the canvas and furniture.

Sizes for your current finish

Canvas dimensions only: a frame may add to the outer size. Multi-panel previews show equal canvases side by side with your chosen gap. Neutral rectangles show scale, not the artwork. Measure your wall before ordering.

Finish

Rolled canvas requires stretching or framing. Frameless is stretched without an outer frame. Framed options include the selected outer frame.

A dark-clad figure tends a white horse before a charcoal doorway, their forms held in a close, quiet exchange. Layered ivory, taupe and black strokes give the scene a dense, sculptural surface.

Artwork and making

Atelier Editions are individually painted works, not printed reproductions. Natural variation in brushwork and surface is part of the making. Materials vary by artwork and selected presentation. The canvas support and decorative outer frame are separate components. Frame color or a wood-look finish does not, by itself, identify the frame material. Contact the studio before ordering to confirm the outer-frame material for a particular size and finish.

Production and delivery

Painting and studio preparation usually take 7–10 calendar days, followed by 7–10 calendar days in transit: approximately 14–20 calendar days after order details are confirmed, excluding time for customer approval or agreed adjustments. Larger, framed or custom works and remote destinations may take longer. Review photos or video of your finished made-to-order painting before dispatch. Free tracked, insured delivery is available to supported destinations; remote areas are quoted first. Import duties are included for all U.S. deliveries. Any applicable sales tax collected by VALLORNE is shown at checkout before payment. See the Shipping Policy for full details.

Returns and custom work

Eligible standard, non-personalized works may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Custom and personalized works are not returnable for preference change.

Artwork care

Display away from persistent direct sunlight, moisture and heat. Dust lightly with a clean, dry, soft brush. Do not use household cleaners on the painted surface.

Hand-painted in oils, with layered color and individual brushwork. Your painting is previewed before dispatch; small variations are part of an individually painted work.

Rolled canvas requires local stretching or framing. Stretched canvas is mounted on an internal stretcher without an outer frame. A slim floating frame adds a fine edge and a subtle shadow gap.

Packaging illustrations show possible protective arrangements. Materials, supports and packing vary by size and finish. Delivery is tracked and insured; U.S. import duties are included. See our shipping policy for destination details.

Customer photo review of Familiar Grace

Seen through those layered openings, the quiet exchange feels private and contemplative, especially beside jade cabinetry in late western light.

Spanning the broad side wall, the horizontal format feels architectural, while its offset position leaves the doorway and toy cabinet comfortably active.

Customer photo review of Familiar Grace

At this generous scale, the horse feels nearly architectural, yet the low placement keeps the scene connected to models and ongoing handwork.

Personally, I like how the dark handler keeps the enormous pale horse from feeling too sweet or decorative in this casual den.

From across the breezeway, the dark handler beside the luminous horse forms one unmistakable graphic anchor among clerestory lines and citrus leaves.

Seen from pillow height in rainy light, the low-hung scene makes the landing feel hushed, sheltered, and gently connected to the bedroom.

Against the busy packing tables, the dark recess around the figures creates a welcome visual pause without making the loft feel empty.

High above the mixed-wood dresser, the compact figure balances the horse’s sweeping pale mass, while the open closet edge keeps things informal.

Familiar Grace

My eye travels from the handler’s dark stance through the lowered neck, then sweeps outward along the horse’s bright back.

Small within the clay wall, the scene reads like a private pause instead of a centerpiece, even with shifting blind shadows crossing it.

Even from floor level, the bowed heads register first, followed by the bright body and grounded dark field—clear, calm, immediate.

Against the olive office wall, that deep open darkness between figure and flank gives the compact room an unexpected place to breathe.

Familiar Grace

Up close and off-center, the horse’s sweeping pale mass balances the narrow black figure and the corridor’s long rust-colored runner.

Familiar Grace

Even down the busy entry, the white flank, dark coat, and touching profiles reduce into three clear shapes without losing the tenderness.

Customer photo review of Familiar Grace

Cool whites and charcoal in the image gain warmth from cognac leather, while forest-green lockers keep the brick room from feeling overly russet.

Familiar Grace

Customer photo review of Familiar Grace

Compact proportions suit the beadboard bay; the horizontal image settles naturally between the door trim, window, and terracotta cabinet.

Familiar Grace

Customer photo review of Familiar Grace

Morning daylight cools the creamy horse, while umber strokes and the blue-green kitchen edge preserve enough warmth for a balanced studio view.

Familiar Grace

Customer photo review of Familiar Grace

Across the stair opening, the handler’s upright black silhouette registers first; the bowed horse head then makes the distant gesture immediately understandable.

Familiar Grace

Customer photo review of Familiar Grace

I’m partial to how the bowed figures hold the left side while that broad white flank opens across the cobalt-framed room.

Familiar Grace

Customer photo review of Familiar Grace

From the reading chair, the horse’s lowered neck guides the eye toward the waiting hand, then the dark ground carries it quietly back.

Familiar Grace

Bone and near-black establish a restrained core that would stand distinctly against cobalt, olive, rust, or other confident room colors.

Familiar Grace

Broad ridges across the mane and flank appear almost sculpted, while thinner shadow passages keep the surface from becoming uniformly heavy.

Familiar Grace

Visible ridges and directional strokes give the horse a rugged, tactile presence, while looser dark marks make the background recede.

Familiar Grace

Rather than stark black and white, the charcoal ground and creamy highlights offer a softer contrast that could sit well near subdued household color.

Familiar Grace

Nothing here shouts; the lowered heads, careful hand, and shadowed enclosure create tension through trust, patience, and remarkable stillness.

Familiar Grace

What holds me is the restraint: one lowered head, one careful hand, and a vast dark backdrop carrying more trust than spectacle.
